In class, we continually return to our breath, visual focus, and the challenge of stillness. It is in this stillness that our bodies can harness internal energy, along with the additional energy cultivated during practice, to promote healing.
There is no competition for energy during our rest periods. These moments allow the body to consolidate energy into your system—benefitting your lungs, heart, and bloodstream. This is why many people experience an uplifting feeling during practice; we release unnecessary energy (Apana) and invite in new energy through breath, which oxygenates our bloodstream and internal organs. This efficiency is one reason why people choose Kundalini Yoga; it promotes rapid transformation, bringing mind, body, and spirit into a state of calmness and clarity.
