Yoga Nidra translated from Sanskrit is “yogic sleep”. It can be used as a relaxation technique and is similar to a guided meditation.
Please join Emily for a series of simple techniques to help relieve tension from both body and mind. Emily will guide you through a systematic relaxation process allowing you feel at rest, while allowing the conscious body to enter a meditative state. We will use body awareness to release muscular tension while observing our breath. Occasionally guided visualization is used to promote healing and self-discovery.
You will have the opportunity to set an intention for Yoga Nidra time which might include or help with stress relief, improved sleep, emotional balance, and enhanced awareness.
All levels are welcome for this still and quiet time. This quick 45-minute session is an effective way to release some stress and invite a mid-week reset.
