At its core, sadhana is the practice of self-discipline—a profound technique that aligns us with our highest aspirations and the universal rhythm of the cosmos. Engaging in this practice during the Amrit Vela, the sacred time just before dawn, allows us to reset our internal cycles and connect deeply with our souls.
During these quiet hours, the veil of ego is at its thinnest, providing a unique opportunity to observe and transform the negative habits that hinder our health, vitality, and spiritual growth. This mindful exploration enables us to neutralize the desires that lead us astray, one by one. Sadhana invites us to tap into our limitless potential by embracing the mysterious facets of our inner selves—venturing into the Knowable Unknown and the Unknowable Unknown.
In the Amrit Vela, the prana, or life force, is particularly concentrated, making cleansing on all levels more attainable. Simply being present, aligned, and open during this time can have profound effects, as the subconscious—often hidden beneath physical tension—comes to the surface, ready for conscious awareness.
We invite you to join us for a morning of chanting, gentle yoga to energize our bodies, and more chanting. We’ll share a potluck vegetarian breakfast, so please bring your favorite dish to share with the group.
Sadhana is always offered as a free community experience.
